Sneak A Peek is a new board game for 2006 that enables everyone from the age of 12 to 112 the ability to solve even the most difficult N.Y. Times crossword puzzle in an easy-to-play, interactive board game. Players start the game with a blank puzzle and no clues. Okay, that sounds pretty tough, but it gets easier as you go.
Players amass clues every turn based on the draw of a card and roll of a die. They may answer one of their clues for points or receive a "Sneak A Peek" letter from anywhere on the board. Answers are easily verified, and the correct answer is entered on the playing board, with points either awarded or deducted. The player notes their clues (and SAP letter if they pass their turn) on their personal "cheat sheet," and play continues to the next player.
As the game progresses, the board is filling in, and higher scoring opportunities, as well as heart rates, are escalating. Players start realizing the answers to many of their earlier clues as well as probable answers to partially completed words on the playing board. Double and triple point cards, as well as SAP letters, keep everyone in the game, and the wild cards will test your board game strategy. Do you answer a clue that you’ve already figured out or receive new clues that could be worth far more points?

There is only one winner, but all players will relish the wit of some of America’s premier crossword constructors and the satisfaction of completing their puzzles. Variations of play let you "raise the bar" to the ultimate crossword challenge. Are You Game? |
